What time does the Hackney Half start?

Accepted Answer

The event is set to start at 09:00. Start times for each participant will be emailed out to you roughly 2 weeks before the event date, please check your spam folder.

There is a race cut-off time of 3 hours and 30 minutes for each runner, after which any runners still on the course will be asked to move to the pavements so that we can give Hackney residents their roads back!

Question 3

I bought a charity place, do I need to do anything else in order to participate?

Accepted Answer

After purchasing the entry from the charity you have to wait for them to process it.

Once they have done so, you will receive an email with a link that will lead you to the Let's Do This registration platform. Here you will be able to claim your entry by filling in all of the required details. As soon as you have completed registration, paid for any add-ons and submitted the form, you should receive an email confirmation.

NOTE: you will be able to participate in the HOKA Hackney Half only if you complete our registration form and claim your entry.

Question 4

Can I get a refund or defer/transfer my entry if I am no longer able to attend the event?

Deferrals and Transfer to a friend are now closed for 2027.

Running with another participant's bib is a serious breach of our Terms & Conditions. This poses a significant health & safety risk to not only the person running in the incorrect race number, but to all runners on the day. There may be spot checks throughout the day, and runners with incorrect bibs may be disqualified.

Question 5

Can I change my postage address?

Accepted Answer

For 2026, it is now too late to change your postage address as all packs are in the process of being sent. If you can, please try to retrieve your race pack from your previous address. If that isn't possible, you can pick up a replacement pack from the Festival Village on event weekend.

Question 6

Can I listen to a personal music player whilst running?

Accepted Answer

You are more than welcome to run with headphones, however, we recommend running without so you can listen for any instructions from route marshals and soak up the amazing route entertainment & atmosphere!
